Direct Care Endocrinology

What is Direct Care?

Direct care medicine, is a healthcare model that emphasizes a direct and personalized relationship between patients and their doctors, typically without the involvement of third-party insurance companies. What has started out as a movement among primary care physicians is now expanding to specialists as well. In this model, patients pay a monthly or fee for service directly to their physician or healthcare practice in exchange for a range of basic medical services.

What are the benefits of Direct Endocrine Care?

Access to your Doctor: Same day or next day appointments, easy communication via email, phone, in person or telemedicine visits

Personalized Care: Relaxed appointments, most appointments will be 60 minutes for a new patient visit or 30 minutes for follow-up, but more time can be used as needed

Transparent Pricing: No more surprise billing from the insurance, patients know in advance what services are covered by their membership fee and are often provided with a clear fee schedule for additional services.

Affordability for Some Patients: While the membership fee may seem an additional cost, some patients find direct care more affordable, especially if they have high-deductible insurance plans or if they don't have insurance coverage.
